Using Zoom
GETTING STARTED WITH ZOOM
Download the Zoom app for your device here: https://zoom.us/download#client_4meeting
Join one of our practice sessions to get familiar with all the available functions like sharing your screen. Select your practice session in the Doodle: https://doodle.com/poll/cimhumveskgkratn. You will then receive a link to join a training session.
You can also check out the Zoom support page to get advice and watch video tutorials: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us.
USING ZOOM FOR YOUR CONFERENCE TALK
Choose a quiet setting for your talk. Make sure audio and video are working. Test the function you want to use, eg. desktop sharing to share your slides with the audience. Dress properly, pay attention to good lighting conditions (no backlight) and web camera angle.
Speakers will receive an access link to their session via separate email.
Chairs also receive an access link to their session via separate email.
Speakers and chairs make sure in advance that their webcam and audio work on their PC or notebook. Please do not use an Android tablet, iPad, or smartphone for your presentation.
We offer the possibility of holding the presentation via Zoom at a workstation set up and personally supervised for this purpose in the Davos Congress Center (room Flüela). If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity, please let us know by email by September 22nd. Apart from the technical support and a team member of the Graduate School Graubünden, there will be no audience on site.
